Approaches to post-excavation analysis are changing rapidly at present. Most, however, are still designed with theultimate aim of producing a printed linear narrative.
The joint impact of the use of relational databases and the World Wide Web present an opportunity to review how different projects have faced this challenge and to take certain newapproaches and assess their value, both for making the post-excavation process itself more efficient, and for making data available for study.
